Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Foot Patrol in Greensboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with hospital staff and public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor cameras, doors, and other site systems where applicable, and report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns through established channels.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and/or other documentation, and communicate key information during shift turnover to support continuity of operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
