Job Overview

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) drives people strategy across the system of care by partnering with business leaders to ensure alignment between HR practices and business objectives, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures, and leading talent management initiatives.

Job Status: Full time, 40 hours per week. Hybrid, with a required minimum of 2 days on site (more days may be needed dependent on client/business needs)

Location: Primary location with be the Anschutz Medical Center (Aurora), but will be required to travel to other CHCO locations (Denver, Colorado Springs) as needed for client and business support.

Shift: Days. Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with occasional off-hours availability to support client and business needs

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides advice and counsel to employees and managers on performance management, employee relations, dispute resolution, and corrective actions.
  • Conducts department culture assessments and evaluates intact team development needs in partnership with department leadership.
  • Leads and advises on workforce performance, analyzing data, and generating reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Interprets and explains human resources policies, procedures, and rules to managers and employees and ensures legal compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. While partnering with leadership to ensure policy and practice align for efficient operations.
  • Provides advice and counsel in the resolution of disputes and develops solutions to problems between leadership, teams, employees and managers using a variety of resolution approaches.
  • Recommends organizational development strategies including quality improvement, performance enhancement approaches, and problem solving by analyzing trends and performance outcomes.
  • Participates in the development of change management strategies in partnership with HR Centers of Excellence, Operations, and other key departments and teams.
  • Develops and provides training on a variety of HR topics including but not limited to employment law, employee engagement, workforce, and leadership skills.
  • Conducts special projects on various human resources topics, identifies business issues and recommends solutions using supporting data, documents methodology, and writes reports on findings.
  • Serves as a key escalation point for grievances and disciplinary processes and leads complex and elevated employee relations and complex investigations including discrimination, harassment, violence in the workplace, and hostile work environment by interviewing complainant(s), managers, and witnesses and recommending a course of action based on gathered information.
  • Advises/assist relevant stakeholders, but not limited to team leaders, employees, and other internal teams, to navigate complex regulatory and legal matters that impact the organization and/or department operations through mitigating risk.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degrees
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications or a directly related field.

  • Experience
    • Required: Four (4) years of experience in human resources interpreting and explaining policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Equivalency
    • Professional experience, beyond requirements, in a related field may substitute for a Bachelor's degree requirement on a year for year basis.

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $82,095.81 to $123,143.72
