Job Description




As a Security Officer - Patrol in Prineville, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support shipping and warehouse operations by documenting activity, communicating clearly with team members and site contacts, and providing customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and drivers by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouses, dock areas, trailer yards, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify irregular conditions.
  • Control access by verifying identification, checking in visitors and/or contractors, and directing deliveries to designated areas in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete routine logs and incident reports, communicate shift activity to site leadership and/or incoming personnel, and support security-related operations such as monitoring cameras and alarm systems when assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
