| Essential Job Duties |
Candidate will be responsible for conducting field and laboratory research through the NC State Apiculture Program. This position will support several ongoing research projects, including but not limited to reproductive physiology of honey bee males (drones), field collections of native bee communities, and molecular analyses of bee diseases. Candidate will be responsible for data collection, sample preparation, data entry, and coordination among other team members. The position will also entail some basic beekeeping support with the Apiculture Technician.
Work Schedule:
The normal work schedule will be five (5) days per week for eight (8) hours per day. Flexibility in schedule, however, is necessary for the position. Many research projects, for example, necessitate longer hours for a given day or working on weekends. |
