Information Technology (IT) Support Lead

Fort Bragg, North Carolina

ATS is looking for a qualified Information Technology (IT) Support Lead to support the Special Operations Mission Training Center Facility at Fort Bragg, NC.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Lead and oversee all IT and cybersecurity operations supporting the Special Operations Mission Training Center, ensuring secure, reliable, and mission-ready information systems in accordance with DoD and Army cybersecurity policies.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the cybersecurity program, including risk management activities, security controls, vulnerability management, and compliance with NIST RMF, DoD cybersecurity guidance, and applicable laws and standards.
  • Monitor IT systems and security posture, responding to cybersecurity incidents, coordinating incident response actions, and ensuring timely remediation and reporting.
  • Oversee datacenter and network infrastructure operations, including server virtualization, network security architecture, storage systems, backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Supervise and manage IT personnel and technical teams, providing tasking, performance oversight, professional development, and ensuring required certifications and continuous professional development requirements are met.
  • Manage IT projects and initiatives, coordinating system upgrades, security enhancements, and technology refresh efforts while minimizing disruption to mission training operations.
  • Provide cybersecurity guidance and security awareness training to staff and supported personnel, promoting a culture of security and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary IT and cybersecurity liaison with Government stakeholders, supported units, and external partners to ensure the protection of information systems and sensitive data.


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology (IT) related field or an associate degree in an Information Technology (IT) related field with ten years' IT Lead experience.
  • Must possess a current certification that meets the requirements for the DCWF Information Systems Security Manager (722) at the Intermediate or Advanced proficiency level, such as CISSP or CISM.
  • Must complete a minimum of 20 hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) annually, or as required to maintain their certifications, whichever is greater.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the following areas (as evidenced by experience or training):

    • Cybersecurity principles, methodologies, and best practices.
    • Risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST RMF).
    • National and international cybersecurity laws, regulations, and standards.
    • Network Security architecture and technologies.
    • Security incident response and handling procedures.
    • Vulnerability management and penetration testing methodologies.
    • Security assessment and authorization processes.
    • Disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
    • Security awareness training and education.
    • DoD cybersecurity policies and guidance.
    • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Developing and maintaining the organization's cybersecurity program.
    • Conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
    • Overseeing the implementation of security controls.
    • Monitoring security systems and responding to security incidents.
    • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
    • Providing security guidance and training to personnel.
    • Managing security-related projects and initiatives.
    • Collaborating with other stakeholders to ensure the security of information systems and data.




SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:



  • A minimum of four years' experience in a formal supervisory role managing technical teams responsible for military information systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in program management, including task delegation, performance tracking, and personnel development.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of complex datacenter environments, including server virtualization, network infrastructure, and storage.

Working Environment: The working environment is a high-security, fast-paced Special Operations training facility that operates in direct support of mission-critical and time-sensitive training events. Personnel work closely with military leadership, government representatives, contractors, and visiting units, often in a dynamic environment with frequent schedule changes, after-hours requirements, and surge operations. The position requires strict adherence to Army physical security policies, discretion when handling sensitive information, constant attention to detail, and a strong customer-service mindset while operating within controlled access areas and under Secret-level security clearance requirements.
