Security Specialist
Fort Bragg, North Carolina ATS is looking for a qualified Security Specialist to support the Special Operations Mission Training Center Facility at Fort Bragg, NC. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and execute physical security operations for the Special Operations Mission Training Center in accordance with Army Physical Security policies, Fort Bragg regulations, and customer security requirements.
- Coordinate installation security actions by submitting, tracking, and managing requests with the Directorate of Emergency Services (DES), Physical Security Division, ensuring timely approval and compliance.
- Control and manage personnel access and accountability, including visitor processing, contractor staff tracking, access rosters, badge coordination, and protection of sensitive training areas and assets.
- Support security compliance and reporting, including maintaining records, logs, and documentation related to access control, security procedures, inspections, and incident reporting.
- Serve as the primary customer-facing security representative, clearly communicating security requirements, providing directions and instructions to visitors, and delivering professional, detail-oriented customer service in a high-security training environment.
- Maintain security systems, databases, and administrative tools, including DISS account usage, Microsoft Office reporting, and secure handling of personnel and contractor information.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree. Six years military experience or five years of experience in physical security experience may substitute for academic degree.
- Knowledge of Army Physical Security policies and procedures. Knowledge of customer service practices and principles.
- Experience submitting Fort Bragg Form 975 to Fort Bragg Directorate of Emergency Services (DES), Physical Security Division.
- Strong computer and Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Ability to manage information of Contractor staff.
- Understand effective customer services orientation.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to clearly articulate instructions and information to visitors and provide accurate directions.
- Completed Defense Information Systems for Security (DISS) training and required certifications for user account access ability.
SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of concepts and theories of Physical Security programs, principles and practices used to review, analyze, and resolve physical security issues.

Personnel work closely with military leadership, government representatives, contractors, and visiting units, often in a dynamic environment with frequent schedule changes, after-hours requirements, and surge operations. The position requires strict adherence to Army physical security policies, discretion when handling sensitive information, constant attention to detail, and a strong customer-service mindset while operating within controlled access areas and under Secret-level security clearance requirements.
