Job Description:

The Senior Network Engineer is a senior-level technical expert responsible for the architecture, engineering, reliability, security, and operational excellence of FormFactor's enterprise network environment across sites, data centers, and cloud-connected networks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage a Managed Service Provider in charge of round-the-clock global network hardware monitoring (NOC) while also overseeing a separate provider for telecom management.

  • Coordinate with the business to plan routine updates for ongoing support and security of the environment.

  • Oversee relationships with vendors and perform regular health assessments to confirm that devices are functioning properly and effectively.

  • Capable of playing an active hands-on role in helping and resolving issues with network hardware and software. Promptly address problems while utilizing various teams to achieve success.

  • Administration of network hardware assets, inventory, and management of product renewals and warranties.

  • Procurement of new networking equipment for current and prospective office locations.

  • Integrating additional office sites into the current environment.

  • Conducting network maintenance and managing changes to hardware to ensure consistent reliability and security.

  • Foster ongoing innovation on network hardware design. Suggest improvements.

  • Communicate respectfully and effectively with all business departments.

Required Hands-On Experience:

  • Cisco and Juniper switches

  • Palo Alto and Cisco ASA Firewalls and VPN

  • Silverpeak SD-WAN

  • Aruba Wireless and Clearpass Network Access Control

  • Sonus Ribbon SBC's

  • Network segmentation and access controls (NAC/802.1X preferred)

  • Expertise in Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention systems, SDWAN, Network Access Control, Web Filtering, Routing and Switching, Load Balancing, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, and VPN technologies

Working Conditions:

  • Primary work location: Farmers Branch, TX (onsite/hybrid based on business need)

  • Occasional travel to other FormFactor sites for implementations and critical support.

  • Participation in an on-call rotation may be required for critical incidents and major changes.

  • After-hours maintenance windows expected periodically for enterprise network changes.

Education & Experience:

Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience| Required
