JOB SUMMARY

The Offer Manager, Circuit Breaker Test will be responsible for product management, P&L, strategies, initiatives, plans, customer interface, third party interface, sales support, and training for Doble implemented products, or services for circuit breaker test instruments. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of circuit breaker testing, products and industry trends as within the power utility and C&I markets. Develops products by identifying potential products; conducting market research; generating product requirements; determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction; developing marketing strategies. This role will report to the Senior Director, Offer Management. The preferred location for this position is Marlborough, MA, however, this position is eligible for a hybrid/remote work arrangement.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Own the profit and loss of the circuit breaker product portfolio

* Circuit Breaker Testing Product Management duties:

o Coordinate and position circuit breaker timer, microohm meter, vacuum interrupter, gas testing, partial discharge, AC/DC Hipot and portable power supply, data management, DCIR, battery across all Doble Engineering subsidiary brands to include ISA, Vanguard and Doble

o Develop data management strategy with associated product managers with data management product solutions enterprise products and solutions to include PowerBase and the Doble Database

o Participate and provide thought leadership for energy sector standards committees, Doble and Industry conferences/seminars.

* Circuit Breaker Product Management duties:

o Coordinate and position circuit breaker products across all Doble Engineering subsidiary brands to include ISA, Vanguard and Doble

o Participate and provide thought leadership for the Doble Circuit Breaker Conference and supporting user groups

* Work with customers and sales teams to provide quotations

* Directly supports product alpha and beta testing, product launches, and voice of customer research.

* Responsible for working with engineering on the Alpha, Beta and pilot programs with early-stage solutions

* Stay current with new technologies and developments as they pertain to solutions which may involve being active on international standards organizations

* Build relationships with customers through user groups feedback and "voice of customer" input to product road maps

* Lead the development of products through the stage gate process

* Write and present papers on product implementations

* Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.

* Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.

* Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products

* Obtains product market share by working with sales & marketing to develop product sales strategies

* Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses, answering questions and requests

* Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production

* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

* Travel requirement: Must be able to travel 40% of the time both domestic and internationally.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

BS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. 15+ years of experience in Electric Utility engineering or operations with minimum 7 years' working experience with substation equipment / systems, will be considered in lieu of a degree.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

* Minimum of 5 years of product management experience

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in circuit breaker design and test

* Proficient use of Microsoft Office Applications

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (Not Required):

* Understanding of the power industry market in relation to utility maintenance and testing of equipment

* A leader with a collaborative approach and ability to manage in a global matrix environment

* Mobility in substation yards

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job. Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds. Must use assistance when lifting 50 or more pounds.

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.
