Responsibilities

The Executive Director has responsibility for managing the overall operations of the designated business unit(s) and for the implementation and execution of the business strategy through the operations and expansion of the program which includes P&L responsibility. This individual will develop a deep understanding of the Newport Healthcare program model to include its overall mission and values and will be responsible for carrying those elements forward through all touchpoints of the business.

  • Operational Leadership: Plan, organize, and direct all aspects of administrative and program operations to ensure seamless execution and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Financial Stewardship: Manage profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities, ensuring robust financial controls are in place and that resources are utilized efficiently and responsibly.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all program elements adhere to Joint Commission standards as well as state and federal regulations.

  • Team Development: Build and nurture a high-performing leadership team through continuous feedback and training, effectively communicating the organization's vision and ensuring its implementation across the program.

  • Talent Acquisition: Recruit top talent from both internal and external sources, fostering a skilled and cohesive team. Ensure all staff receive required training from Newport Academy, along with any additional training necessary to maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients and their families.

  • Culture of Accountability: Establish a culture of accountability and results-driven performance. Promote a positive work environment by actively listening to employee feedback, responding promptly, and making adjustments as needed.

  • Community Representation: Act as the primary leader, representative, and spokesperson for the organization within the local community.

  • Policy Development: Develop and implement administrative, personnel, and program policies that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Customer Service Excellence: Foster and exemplify a culture of exceptional customer service, prioritizing the needs of clients, families, referral sources, neighbors, and the communities we serve.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned to support the organization's objectives.


Qualifications

  • Education/credential and leadership experience (one of the following):
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study AND at least five (5) years of leadership experience in operations/management within the behavioral health industry; OR
    • Relevant clinical specialty certification AND at least six (6) years of leadership experience in operations/management within the behavioral health industry.
  • Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing, or a clinical specialty preferred.
  • Experience building new programs and overseeing multiple locations, preferred.
  • Experience working with adolescent and young adult populations, and substance use disorders, preferred.

Compensation for this role ranges from $142,245 - $173,855 per year depending on education and experience.

An individual's pay rate within the posted range is determined by several factors, including skills, experience, education, and market conditions. Additionally, we consider internal equity to ensure fairness within our organization.
