Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Interventional Pulmonology Respiratory Therapist to join the team. 4-day workweek consisting of 10 hrs. Shifts. The position will include the Float rotation between IAH,ILH, and IFH. Reviews pre-procedural patient information including H & P, medications, allergies. Coordinates planned care with other healthcare team members. Displays a strong foundation in physiology along with a strong understanding of the respiratory system Implements principles of aseptic technique utilizing a thorough knowledge of basic infection control practices. Implements knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic scopes and high-level disinfection process. Ensures safety by knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures, especially those pertaining to the bronchoscopy suite, safety, security, fire, emergency, and biomedical. Additional Requirements: Licensure - Current license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the State Certification - Registered respiratory therapist/ Basic Life support/ Advance Cardiovascular Life support Experience - 5 years experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist; 3 years of critical care Education - Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
