TheLead Engineer Automation Quality- API & Data Masteringwill be ahands-on automation subject matter expert, responsible for designing, developing, andmaintainingrobust, scalable automation frameworks. While hands-on automation will be the primary focus, this role will also providetechnical leadership to ateam of API anddata basedautomation testengineers, contribute ideas and innovation, and help continuously improve overall quality practices.

This position is part of theData Initiatives Program for the Integration Hub, requiring strong experience in testing complex data flows across multiple systems, databases, and event-driven architectures.

What you will do:

  • Design, develop, and implementautomation-first test strategies and frameworksfor complex, data-driven applications.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship totheQA team, helping set priorities and improve automation maturity.
  • Contribute ideas, innovations, and improvements to enhance quality processes and automation effectiveness.
  • Define and follow best practices for test automation, coding standards, and quality assurance.
  • Perform testing acrossmultiple data sources and systems, including EASY, C&H, Account, and other upstream/downstream integrations.
  • Validate data across multiple databases such asPostgreSQL, SQL Server, and DynamoDB.
  • Understand and testdata flow through Kafka events, including event validation, data consistency, and downstream processing.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests intoCI/CD pipelines.
  • Partner with developers, product owners, and architects to align testing strategies with delivery goals.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on automation coverage, defects, and quality metrics.
  • Support and executemanual testingfor complex scenarios, edge cases, or exploratory testing whenrequired.
  • Participate ininnovationinitiatives, includingAI-assisted testing and automation enhancements.
  • If required, support the performance testing requirements.

What you will bring

  • 7-10 years of overall testing experience, including4-5 years of hands-on automation testing(or equivalent automation-focused experience).
  • Stronghands-on Javaexpertise, including deep knowledge of core Java concepts.
  • The candidate is expected to understand developer-level code and, whenrequired, contribute tointegration and automation test code.
  • Extensive experience with automation tools and frameworks such asCucumber, Karate, JUnit, and TestNG.
  • Strong experience testingdata-intensive applications, including backend and integration testing.
  • Solid understanding ofCI/CD pipelines, automation execution, and related tooling.
  • Proven ability to guide and mentor junior or mid-level QA engineers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Experience with performance testing tools such asGatling,JMeter,LoadRunner.
  • Hands-on experience working in anAWS cloud environment.
  • Knowledge ofKafka-based event-drivenarchitectures.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such asDocker and Kubernetes.

Base Salary Range

$105,700.00 - $149,275.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
