A dedicated individual with the ability to quickly learn new processes and excellent problem-solving skills with follow-through. A general knowledge of IBM hardware, JH Solutions and sales tools and processes is beneficial. Ability to communicate and work effectively and efficiently with team members and clients. Standard business hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with additional time as needed for sales opportunities.

This is a remote position and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX; Cedar Falls, IA; Charlotte, NC; Louisville, KY; Lenexa, KS; Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO.

All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Attend pre-sales meetings with Sales Reps and prospective customers to gain an understanding of customer needs and proposed solutions.
  • Facilitates the standardization of product offerings by creating specialized orders using information from sales, internal JHA contacts, customers, and vendors when standard products offered do not meet the current customer's need.
  • Utilizes IBM tools to generate quotes and assists with sales proposals by providing hardware quotes for contract generation.
  • Reviews products sold for accuracy and transfers information to Order Entry in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Plans for delivery, installation, and configuration of hardware including power requirements, cable requirements, and environmental requirements.
  • Assists customers in resolving product issues such as inaccurate orders, hardware defects, installation problems, etc.
  • Maintains hardware and technical knowledge including information from IBM such as programming changes and offerings. Keeps current on all pricing, product changes, and promotional opportunities.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hardware related sales or support.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Developing professional expertise. Works on non-complex to moderately complex projects. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices.
  • General knowledge of IBM hardware product offerings.
  • General knowledge of JHA products and services.
  • Able to identify required hardware for all assigned proposals.
  • Able to generate quotes using IBM tools.
  • Able to support the delivery, installation and configuration of hardware.
  • Able to resolve product issues.
