Key Responsibilities
- Safely executes field craft operations (i.e. field mechanical work, miscellaneous maintenance, construction, etc.), consistent with standard acceptable practices for such work.
- Work may involve heavy physical labor, various mechanical equipment operations and use of hand tools in a professional craftsman like manner, while ensuring work is performed in compliance with contract specifications. Responsible for performing inspection duties at various stages of project operations for code and contract specification compliance.
- Operating loaders, excavators, dozer (material handling/grading), the candidate will have experience with hydraulic sheers, screeners and hoe-rams.
- Maintaining and operating various types of heavy construction and demolition equipment such as dozers, excavators, backhoes, loaders, rollers/compactors, trenchers, trucks/tractors, forklifts in a safe and efficient manner and adjust equipment as necessary.

Education, Experience and Requirements
- Uses machinery to move construction materials, earth, and other heavy materials at construction sites and mines.
- Three (3) years of experience in heavy equipment operations.
- Operates clearing/grading equipment to prepare land for road construction, buildings, bridges, runways, dams, levees, and other structures.
- Operates machinery to dig trenches to lay or repair sewer and other utilities, and hoist heavy construction materials
- Demonstrates consistent/exemplary safety compliance.
- Displays solid understanding of means and methods of construction activities
- Demonstrates ability to perform craft labor activities/tasks at a semi-skilled to skilled level
- Must be able to work constructively in diverse teams including engineers, technicians, and non-technical personnel.
- Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements.
- Willingness to work within the union.
