Position Overview

As a Product Owner, you will be key to the success of our business transformation. Although, a large part of the transformation is structured around the move from SAP ECC to SAP S4 HANA, the transformation will encompass non-system changes too. You will focus initially on the D5 deployment (US distribution centers) before moving on to the rest of the global distribution network.

You will work with our System Integrators, Magellan and Business Teams. Together, you will deliver strong solutions for the sites and the entire network. Your role balances building a global template and meeting local business needs. You will collaborate with Magellan Workstreams, System Integration Vendors, BSC Business Process Leads, SMEs, Global Process Leadership and stakeholders across our network. The program moves through several phases: Requirements, Design, Build and Testing, Deployment, and post-Go-Live support (Hypercare). With each phase, the focus of your responsibilities changes whilst always aiming to deliver the best solution for our customers and business.

Your responsibilities will include:



  • Collaborate across Magellan and Operations Teams, translating user requirements into business user stories and acceptance criteria ('Who, What, Why').
  • Coordinate with Magellan Workstreams, Strategic Integration Vendors, BSC BPLs, SMEs, Communities of Practice, IT Solution Architects, and other integration partners to design and deliver solutions using Magellan Ways of Working.
  • Liaise with Training teams and Site Super Users, Business Process Leads & SMEs to develop training plans for key functionality, enhancing knowledge across the Logistics/Operations workstream.
  • Build a cross-functional, network-wide, collaborative matrix organization, particularly on-site at the distribution centers, to deliver the Magellan Transformation.
  • Align requirements, monitor project plans, communicate with stakeholders, coordinate the Requirements, Design, Build and Testing phases, and support network-wide deployment.
  • Lead design and build of solutions by representing business requirements and ensuring solutions are fit for purpose.
  • Plan and monitor work using program tools; continually identify ways to improve processes.
  • Ensure solutions are validated per GSM (Global Systems Methodology).
  • Influence functionally, regionally, and across the distribution network to adopt best practices and standardize logistics and warehousing operations.
  • Work with Data teams to produce mock data, to ensure accurate master data, and to drive consistent data across BSC.
  • Gather and analyze voice-of-customer feedback, translating data and issues into business language and actionable plans.
  • Establish processes, procedures, and defined roles within the Global Logistics network whilst advocating for best practices and standardisation.
  • Work closely with the GSC and Logistics Operations Global Process Leaders/ Stewards to ensure standardization of all critical global logistics processes.
  • Foster an inclusive workplace that encourages feedback, coaching, and proactive development for all employees.



Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of technical, professional, or operational experience in a regulated industry field.
  • 3+ years of systems/applications experience as Business Process Lead or SME.
  • Previous experience with major program/project delivery, ideally in IT/Systems or having had business representative roles in such programs.
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving.
  • High degree of integrity, professionalism, and credibility.
  • High sense of urgency and commitment to execution.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Project Management and/or adaptability to change and ambiguity is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel to meetings & workshops and potentially longer periods for hypercare presence following go-lives.
  • Ability to manage time to support a global program where meetings may sometimes be outside core working hours.

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in Distribution and Warehousing is a distinct advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, particularly in the areas of materials management and warehouse management is preferred.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com-will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
