Join Our Team

Design Public Group is seeking an Executive Sales Director to lead business development efforts across the Chicago market and surrounding territory.

This is a high-impact sales role focused on driving growth through contract dealers, hospitality procurement firms, and the architecture and design community. With one of the industry's most comprehensive ancillary furniture portfolios and increasing demand for flexible design solutions, you'll have significant opportunity to expand market share, develop strategic partnerships, and build a thriving book of business.

What You'll Do

  • Drive revenue growth and increase market share within your assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute a strategic territory business plan with 6-, 12-, and 24-month growth objectives.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with contract dealers, hospitality procurement firms, designers, architects, and other key decision makers.
  • Influence product specifications with architecture and design firms throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across workplace, hospitality, education, healthcare, and other commercial environments.
  • Expand Design Public Group's presence within existing customer accounts while cultivating new customer relationships.
  • Partner with internal teams and dealer networks to develop account strategies, presentations, pricing proposals, mock-ups, and customer solutions.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline and manage opportunities through Salesforce CRM.
  • Analyze territory performance and maintain accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the customer experience and improve business processes.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven success in B2B sales, business development, account management, or related commercial roles.
  • Experience working with contract furniture dealers, hospitality procurement firms, architecture and design firms, or commercial interiors markets strongly preferred.
  • Strong relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic growth plans while managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Experience utilizing CRM platforms such as Salesforce to manage pipelines and customer relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant sales experience required; 5+ years preferred.

Pay Transparency

We are committed to transparent and equitable compensation practices. The posted salary range represents the targeted hiring range for this position. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, skills, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
