The FTSE Russell Product Management team delivers indexes, data products, and services that meet client needs globally, launching new solutions and managing existing offerings.

As a Senior Analyst, Equity Index Product Management, you will work closely with senior team members and cross-functional partners to support a wide range of projects. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of global financial markets, the investment management industry, and FTSE Russell's flagship index portfolios, including the Russell US Index Series and FTSE Global Equity Index Series, which together benchmark approximately $14.4 trillion in assets.

You will play a key role in product development, life cycle management, and go-to-market processes, collaborating with teams across Research, Marketing, Index Delivery, Sales, and Client Experience to deliver on critical initiatives and the product roadmap. Your work will contribute to benchmarks that guide trillions of dollars in assets globally, playing an important role in global financial markets. This position also offers opportunities to contribute ideas that shape product strategy and influence the evolution of FTSE Russell's equity index offerings.

Role Summary

  • Partner with internal and external collaborators to achieve revenue generation and retention goals through quantitative analysis of index data and transformation into clear, client-ready presentations and product collateral.

  • Conduct industry and competitor research to find opportunities to promote features and benefits of existing products and generate new index product ideas.

  • Support Product Managers in client engagement initiatives to understand client needs and inform product strategy.

  • Lead cross-functional projects to enhance product offerings under manager supervision. Collaborate with internal teams to launch new products, support go-to-market activities including product collateral preparation, and work with the Global Distribution team to ensure coverage on third-party platforms.

  • Support product life cycle activities, including design and implementation of new products from inception to delivery. Manage minor enhancements to existing products, and index or product decommissions under supervision.

  • Contribute to product governance processes to ensure compliance with internal standards.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide analytical support for FTSE Russell's most widely used equity index franchises through industry trend analysis, competitor benchmarking, and product evaluation (index data, methodology, and delivery).

  • Use tools such as LSEG Workspace, internal databases, and public sources to summarize findings and deliver actionable insights based on FTSE Russell, competitor, and industry data.

  • Own updates to client-facing product collateral for flagship Russell US and FTSE GEIS franchises, which together benchmark approximately $14.4 trillion in assets, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Partner with Sales and Client Experience to provide ad hoc data and presentations that support business development and client success.

  • Drive product life cycle activities from inception to delivery, including new product design, minor enhancements, and index or product decommissions under supervision.

  • Collaborate with the Global Distribution team to ensure coverage and distribution on third-party vendor platforms.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to execute and deliver against the product roadmap.

  • Support existing products and services through continuous enhancements based on client needs and industry and competitive landscape.

  • Track and report on key performance indicators for product initiatives to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.

  • Find opportunities to improve processes and efficiency in data handling and reporting.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in index product management or financial markets.

  • Solid understanding of global financial markets and index concepts such as market cap weighting, float adjustments, and methodology comparisons.

  • Ability to perform index-related calculations such as returns, values, and constituent or industry weights, and transform the results into clear, client-ready visuals.

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills to interpret and explain complex data to internal and external collaborators with varying levels of sophistication.

  • Ability to establish credibility and build strong, collaborative relationships across business and technology teams.

  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, and identify and resolve potential issues early.

  • Demonstrates curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive, can-do attitude.

  • Comfort working with large datasets and willingness to learn new tools and processes to improve efficiency.

  • You are expected to work independently with limited supervision, delivering key objectives on time and with exceptional accuracy.

Compensation/Benefits Information:

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $96,000 - $160,200. Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
