DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administration Management Trainee, you will complete a structured, 12-month training program where you will develop an understanding of commonwealth hiring processes and procedures for both Civil Service and Non-Civil Service positions. Throughout the program you will work in several areas of the division in order to learn the fundamentals of commonwealth hiring processes and procedures, analyze and process technical information, consult with a variety of agencies, as well as develop compelling selling language. Precision and accuracy are essential for this position as you will be completing quality assurance checks to ensure standards are met and ensuring candidates meet all requirements prior to filling vacant positions. You will cultivate an understanding of how to:
- Work with HR Analysts regarding placement activities associated with posting and filling vacancies
- Design, compose, and refine job postings that attract high-quality candidates
- Enter exam related information and supplemental questions into NEOGOV postings
- Review requisitions and monitor the section's resource account to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Create requisitions, enter a variety of personnel transactions, and prepare monthly complement reports

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Work schedule may be negotiable within the organization's business hours.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. Selected candidate will be required to report in-office 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree, including 15 credits in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 15 credits in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
