Cable Harness Assembler Orlando, FL First Shift Job Summary The Cable Harness Assembler is responsible for building cable harnesses according to wiring diagrams, form boards, and schematics. This role involves soldering, crimping, inserting contacts into connectors, and torquing backshells while adhering to Class 3 IPC standards. Assemblers will work from written instructions provided by mechanical engineering and must be able to interpret technical drawings. The position includes performing assembly operations on electronic and mechanical components, conducting continuity checks, and ensuring compliance with quality specifications. Job Responsibilities Assemble cable harnesses following wiring diagrams, schematics, and form boards. Perform soldering, crimping, and insertion of contacts into connectors. Torque backshells and ensure compliance with Class 3 IPC standards. Use hand and power tools, jigs, and saws for assembly tasks. Conduct continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies. Perform quality inspections in accordance with established specifications. Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies as required. Job Requirements Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and written instructions. Skilled in soldering, crimping, and mechanical assembly techniques. Familiarity with Class 3 IPC standards. Proficiency in using hand and power tools for assembly tasks. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise specifications. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Work Experience 1-2 years of experience in cable or harness assembly, preferably in defense or aerospace manufacturing. $20.35 an hour 25-32546 #ZR
