Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Government Response in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activities or security-related hazards encountered during patrols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents within the government location.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and/or law enforcement as needed.
  • Complete required reports and logs related to daily activities and incidents.
  • Follow all Allied Universal policies and procedures and adhere to client-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
