As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to staff, patients, and visitors. This armed post requires you to respond promptly to incidents, deliver exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at healthcare locations by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor and report any unusual activity, security-related risks, or hazardous conditions within the healthcare setting.
  • Support access control procedures by verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site policies.
  • Assist medical staff and visitors as needed while maintaining a strong security-related presence.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Remain alert to potential threats and/or emergencies and respond according to established procedures and training.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
