As a Security Guard - Armed Government Institution - Full Time in Winnemucca, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment through routine patrols and visible presence. You will help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior and report any unusual circumstances to the appropriate authorities.
• Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with access and information as required by site policies.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or observations during each shift.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed, supporting a coordinated response to incidents.
• Adhere to all licensing and training requirements related to armed security-related duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
