As a Security Guard - Armed Post - Mall Site in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the location, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence for customers and staff. Your role involves upholding our values of agility, reliability, and innovation, while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This armed position allows you to make a meaningful impact by supporting a positive and secure experience for everyone on site.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail environment and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, disturbances, and/or other unwanted activity.
• Interact with employees, visitors, and/or customers in a professional manner while upholding the location's security-related protocols.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and/or any unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and location guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a Level III Armed Certification for Texas.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
