In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide a reassuring presence. You will communicate with team members and the public, offering exceptional customer service while responding to situations as they arise. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and respond to incoming calls, alarms, and radio communications in a government location, dispatching personnel as needed according to site-specific protocols.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, staff, and contractors with inquiries and access needs, following established security-related procedures.
  • Document and log all incidents, communications, and dispatch activities accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site teams and emergency services as required.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members to help to deter unauthorized activities and maintain order within the location.
  • Follow emergency response procedures and communicate pertinent information to relevant parties during incidents.
  • Maintain awareness of site-specific policies and procedures to support security-related operations and activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Provide one of the following: DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associate's Degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • A Guard Card or License is preferred.
  • X Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
