Job Description




As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Specialist in Scottsdale, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned healthcare locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to individuals at the healthcare location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting staff, visitors, and patients as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe and report on any unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access and to maintain an orderly environment.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and suspicious activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with staff and local authorities as needed to address incidents or emergencies in a professional manner.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
