Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Media Patrol in Milford, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated tech-focused locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential threats and identify any unusual activity.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
  • Remain alert to changes in the environment and promptly report any security-related concerns or incidents to Allied Universal management.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or any security-related occurrences as required by site policies.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when needed, following established protocols.
  • Adhere to all Allied Universal and site-specific procedures regarding the handling and carrying of firearms, maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
