**About the Role**

This specialized liaison position is designed for a seasoned professional ready to bridge the gap between cutting-edge autonomous vehicle technology and local public safety agencies. You will be instrumental in protecting our fleet, ensuring swift and effective incident resolution, and deeply integrating our operations with local authorities. Your leadership and strategic acumen will be vital in navigating complex environments and establishing the foundational relationships necessary for our continued growth and safe deployment.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Strategic Law Enforcement Engagement:** Act as the primary point of contact for local police departments, expertly navigating the intricate dynamics of major metropolitan agencies to secure essential access and cooperation for our operations.

**Incident Investigation & Facilitation:** Conduct thorough field investigations into adverse incidents such as vandalism or operational interference. Meticulously document evidence and prepare comprehensive investigative packages to significantly aid local law enforcement in prosecution efforts.

**Crash Investigation Oversight:** Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during law enforcement-led crash investigations, safeguarding company interests and ensuring the technical accuracy of findings related to vehicle capabilities.

**Expansion & Network Development:** Utilize your extensive professional networks to proactively establish critical relationships and operational frameworks in new regional markets as our service footprint expands.

**First Responder Training & Policy Adaptation:** Develop and deliver essential training to local first responders on vehicle interaction and safety protocols. Adapt and implement company security policies to align with the unique legal and cultural landscape of each assigned operational area.

**Fleet Recovery Leadership:** Oversee and coordinate vehicle recovery operations, maintaining high-level relationships to ensure the rapid resolution of situations involving blocked or tampered vehicles.

**Must-Have Qualifications**

**Deep Local Law Enforcement Expertise:** Minimum of 15+ years of dedicated experience in law enforcement within Los Angeles or San Francisco, CA (Must Have).

**Command-Level Acumen:** Proven experience operating at a command or executive level within a major metropolitan police department, showcasing the political savvy required for high-level engagement.

**Traffic Enforcement Specialization:** Direct experience working in or overseeing a Traffic Enforcement Unit. Must possess a comprehensive understanding of crash investigation protocols and technical traffic safety standards.

**Emergency Management Certification:** Required Incident Command System (ICS) certification.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications**

**Extensive National Networks:** Demonstrated experience building and leveraging robust national law enforcement networks.

**Special Events Management:** Experience in coordinating safety and traffic flow for large-scale urban events.

**Private Sector Understanding:** An appreciation for the unique security needs and operational demands of the private sector.

**Operational Flexibility:** Potential for re-employment or part-time programs for recently retired officers.
