Overview

Apogee is seeking an Integrated Master Scheduler to support Space Systems Command (SSC).

The SSC is currently made up of five Program Executive Offices (PEOs): Space Sensing (SN); Military Communications and Position, Navigation, and Timing (MCPNT); Assured Access to Space (AATS); Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SDA&CP); and Battle
Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3). These PEOs have the authority to provide Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) services across their respective SSC PEO portfolios of programs, enabling systems, and subsystems.

This position can sit in either El Segundo, CA or Colorado Springs, CO and is cross posted.



Responsibilities

    Plan, build, coordinate, and manage the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Provide IMS technical products (e.g., GANTT charts, network diagrams).
  • Collaborate and incorporate key schedule requirements to ensure mission success.
  • Communicate schedule objectives, plans, and status to the customer, the project team, and management.
  • Determines requirements; develops goals and objectives to accomplish program missions.
  • Provide Earned Value Management (EVM) indicators to inform schedule risks.


Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have at time of applicaiton and be able to maintain a Secret level clearance
Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering, mathematics, computer science, or equivalent technical discipline
Years of Experience: 3+ years of experience with Systems Engineering and/or Project Management, schedule planning and development efforts on space-related (space, ground, software, hardware system) Major Defense Acquisition Programs

  • 3+ years of experience developing and managing an integrated, end to end IMS that includes the schedule of key integration, test, and transition to operation activities, as well as critical paths, in order to analyze schedule impacts and recommend corrective actions
  • Experience developing, documenting, and executing a Lean-Agile process to manage the technical baseline and IMS at all integration levels
  • Knowledge of scheduling tools such as MS Project, One Pager Pro, Milestones Professional, Sharepoint, MS Excel, and MS Office
  • Ability to identify, document, and integrate technical and programmatic data describing systems/segments/elements, interrelationships, interdependencies, and external drivers of operational capabilities to review/provide input to the Operational Capability Schedule
  • Ability to gather data from multiple sources and stakeholders across the program and display it in a useful manner for the customer
  • Strong communication and coordination skills to concurrently manage several Enterprise and Program-level schedules and IMS
  • Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, Federally Funded Research and Developmental Centers (FFRDC), and associate contractor teammates to achieve program goals

Additional Experience:

  • Experience performing systems engineering, program management, and schedule and development activities on enterprise systems
  • Experience with using Model-Based Systems Engineering approach to manage system definitions and technical baseline
  • Experience working with large amounts of data
  • Experience utilizing metrics to improve processes and ensure consistency and standardization across the organization
  • Strong understanding of space systems and the corresponding design, development, manufacturing, integration and test, deployment, operations, and decommissioning activities
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.01/02

Preferred Qualifications:
Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance

Certifications: INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional certifications (ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP)

Education: Master's degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent technical discipline
