Position summary
This position is responsible for performing full life cycle technical recruiting and functional roles to include sourcing, screening, interviewing, submitting, coordinating / scheduling interviews, and negotiating offers. You will help drive strategy initiatives building teams that bring government services to millions of Americans.

What you'll do
  • Verifying internal and external recruiting requirements are met prior to interview and participating in recruiter screenings and interviews for the Engineering organization
  • Reviewing candidate portfolios
  • Working with coordinators to schedule interviews
  • Building relationships with candidates prior to the interview
  • Preparing and debriefing for interviews and making recommendations
  • Utilizing sourcing tools and techniques to identify candidates such as online social networking (LinkedIn.com, Twitter, etc.), traditional networking, Boolean searches, referrals, etc.
  • Sourcing via Nava's applicant tracking system (ATS) to identify qualified candidates
  • Collaborating with hiring managers to share findings and confirm profiles being selected are a good match
  • Develop accurate and attractive job postings out of Statements of Work (SOW) and job descriptions, and posting jobs in the ATS
  • Building, cultivating, and sustaining networks of qualified, passive candidates and creating mechanisms to effectively manage a candidate pool
  • Working directly with managers to understand business goals and determine next steps, integrating recruiting best practices and/or process improvements to further company goals
  • Attending career events and tradeshows to network and connect with candidates
  • Conducting research to determine how best to work with meeting attendees
  • Gathering feedback from candidate about interview process and coordinating close out calls
  • Participating in salary and benefit negotiations and making recommendations
  • Completing documentation to onboard candidates
Required skills
  • 1-3+ years' experience in recruiting highly technical roles for Software and Infrastructure Engineering, Delivery, Design and Product teams
  • Experience with innovative sourcing techniques like internet data mining and Boolean search strings
  • Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems (Lever and Greenhouse preferred) and social media/job boards such as LinkedIn and Indeed
  • Experience dealing with high volume pipelines in demanding a technical recruiting environment
  • Experience using a metric driven approach to tracking and running pipelines and effectively managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to execute a recruiting strategy, including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview process management
  • Ability to proactively network and establish effective working relationships both internal and external
  • Ability to continually seek new sourcing options, and develop creative approaches to sourcing and delivering candidates and leverage social media and other avenues and innovative methods to build the company's talent brand
  • A passion for providing an excellent candidate experience combined with a knack for managing internal expectations; strong negotiation skills
  • Meticulous organizational skills -- you pride yourself at keeping records up-to-date in real-time
  • High level of emotional intelligence and comfort dealing with ambiguity; analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills; speaking at executive level, both internally and externally, strong interpersonal and people skills
  • Must be a collaborative team player and have proven ability to work without daily oversight
Desired skills
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Civic/Government field highly preferred
Other requirements
All roles at Nava require the following:
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Ability to meet any other requirements for government contracts for which candidates are hired
Work authorization that doesn't require visa sponsorship, now or in the future
May be subject to a government background check or security clearance, depending on the contract
