POSITION SUMMARY

The Training Specialist, Lead will design, develop, implement, and oversee training programs at the site in support of DSV's overall training strategy. Identify the organization's training and development needs and assist with creating new initiatives, reform, and improve existing programs. Present training content or supervise trainers and other staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Create and administer tests to determine the employees' skill levels, performance gaps, and areas of improvement that new training methods could help with.

* Work with program manager on creating and delivering training workshops and courses for employee development.

* Produce training materials using print, presentations, audiovisual means, and digital tools.

* Collaborate with training team to refine training courses and introduce new training activities to help with retention and engagement.

* Measure learners' progress against established development standards and learning milestones.

* Supervise the creation of detailed and accurate progress reports and ensure both training participants and management receive them in a timely manner.

* Research leading employee development trends and techniques and oversee their implementation into the learning programs within DSV.

* Responsible for training team leads which includes CargoWrite exam preparation.

* Responsible for translating all training material into Spanish language documents.

* Conduct process assessments and observations to ensure processes are working as expected and to track performance inefficiency.

* Conduct daily shift start meetings and send end of shift reports reflecting training progress.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education & Experience:

A bachelor's degree in education, communications, business administration, business management, or related field preferred.

Computer Skills:

* Proficient in Microsoft Office

Certificates & Licenses: NA

Language Skills

* Fluency in English(written and verbal)

Other Skills

* Strong public speaker.

* Working knowledge of field operations and training principles.

* Presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals.

* Time management and organizational skills

* Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions.

* Ability to mentor, coach, and act as a knowledge resource to other employees.

* Ability to pass CargoWrite basic/plus exam.

* Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate.

* Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed primarily in office and warehouse settings, in all weather conditions, including temperature extremes. Work is often performed in emergency and stressful situations. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate in other situations.
