DIESEL & BUS MECHANIC*

Perform specialized mechanical duties in the repair, inspection and routine maintenance of heavy and light automotive equipment.

• Perform mechanical duties in the repair, inspection and maintenance of diesel and gasoline powered buses, trucks, cars and other power driven equipment, with guidance and direction from upper level personnel.
• Assist in the machining of parts for automotive equipment and machinery according to specifications.
• Prepare necessary records pertaining to work performed.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of equipment, supplies and materials.
• Follow a predetermined preventative maintenance program on buses, trucks, cars and other power driven equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and direction to lower level personnel.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
