At JLL, we are driving sustainability through everything that we do, across all service lines and job positions. Specifically, we are growing our Sustainability practice to drive end-to-end sustainability solutions in real estate, from site selection to decommissioning.

What this job involves

In this role, you will work directly with a client's sustainability team supporting the strategic advancement of energy and sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing data analysis and calculations to produce monthly, quarterly and annual energy, environmental and sustainability reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Maintaining completeness and accuracy of utility data, property data, etc. in databases to ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting.

  • Identifying anomalies and perform gap analysis of the energy & sustainability data and work with client to include corrective actions, including measures which improve the efficiency of data capture.

  • Performing utility review and resolving utility account issues by working with utility companies and bill processing firms.

  • Undertaking data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for operational improvement, energy conservation opportunities, and potential cost reduction.

  • Providing support to the Energy & Sustainability Manager on each account to provide the necessary energy and sustainability metrics that are being tracked.

  • Preparing environmental reporting in accordance with globally recognized protocols, such as CDP and DJSI.

  • Provide support in creating and implementation of energy & sustainability management strategy

Requirements -Essential

  • University Degree (Science, engineering, math or related fields)

  • Proficient in using MS Excel, Access and SQL to combine and analyze data from various sources, and generate reports and graphics. Must be able to combine large volumes of data for consolidated reporting.

  • Experienced performing data analysis and identify the gaps and trends in data

  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management and follow-through.

  • Basic understanding of HVAC and building energy systems

  • Has experience running Green House Gas Emission calculations

  • Familiarity with sustainability related certification and benchmarking tools

  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide detailed or brief explanation of the data analysis results

  • Understand the client's energy & sustainability goals and provide support in implementation of the program to reach those goals

Requirements - Desirable

  • Technical understanding of the most common HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building automation systems

  • In-depth understanding of energy and water conservation measures

  • Experienced with benchmarking and analyzing utility data to drive sustainability measures

  • In-depth understanding of Greenhouse Gas Emission scopes and reporting

  • Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and work to build consensus

  • Ability to communicate directly with the client and manage expectations

  • Ability to develop an energy & sustainability program

Estimated compensation for this position:

60,000.00 - 66,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
