Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Oldsmar, FL. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Operates through-hole or surface mount technology (SMT) automatic assembly equipment to produce high-quality complex printed circuit board assemblies.
  • Responsible for set-up, operations, and routine maintenance.
  • Manually or using semi-automatic equipment, screen print solder paste.
  • Operate adhesive dispensing equipment.
  • Loads components supplied in tubes or reels onto feeders and loads feeders onto placement equipment.
  • May hand-place some surface mount technology (SMT) components.
  • Place assembled printed circuit boards into solder reflow ovens.
  • May use standard electronic hand tools (solder, flux, and adhesive).
  • Utilize schematic diagrams, drawings, visual aids, and other instructions to identify defects.
  • Operate and maintain MyCronic or Universal Fuzion pick and place equipment, including setup, and operation of equipment, including minor troubleshooting
  • Perform surface mount technology (SMT) production tasks, including component placement, soldering, and inspection
  • Ensure high-quality production by following established procedures and guidelines
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S principles
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and improve efficiency
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Under limited supervision, responsible for moderately complex Surface Mount manufacturing processes utilizing automated equipment and hand assembly.
  • Performs semi-routine Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Inspection, and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment setup, operation, and adjustment, and utilizes other Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment, such as X-ray, Stencil Printing, etc.

  • Hours: 4/10-1st Shift
  • Length: Temp (13 Months)

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a surface mount technology (SMT) Operator, with a focus on MyCronic or Universal Fuzion pick and place equipment
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and safety
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree.
  • IPC-A-610
  • Machine Shop
  • Surface Mount Technology
  • Strong understanding of surface mount technology (SMT) production processes, including component placement, soldering, and inspection
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and guidelines
