Communications Specialist & Graphic Designer

Job Summary

The Communications Specialist & Graphic Designer plays a critical role in enhancing JLL's regional and global communication effectiveness through strategic visual storytelling and multimedia content creation. Reporting to the Global Director of Marketing & Communications, this position focuses on developing compelling visual communications that drive employee engagement, supporting business objectives across the Americas region with global project exposure, and is passionate about collaboration and teamwork.

This role combines traditional communications responsibilities (60-70%) with specialized graphic design and video/motion graphics work (30-40%), requiring a creative professional eager to grow their expertise in project management, audience analysis, storytelling, and client-focused communication strategies. You will work as part of a collaborative team of 3 while supporting a global team of 700+ professionals and FMCG Fortune 500 client.

Key Responsibilities:

Communications & Content Creation (60-70%)

  • Work within the Marketing & Comms team to partner with internal account teams and stakeholders to develop and execute strategic communication initiatives that tell their stories, commercialize their work, share their ideas, and align with JLL's vision, mission, and brand positioning

  • Create and maintain professional communication materials including (but not limited to) presentations, signage, PowerPoint templates, newsletters, executive communications, annual report, and business reviews

  • Collaborate with the European Marketing & Communications Manager to ensure consistent global messaging and branding

  • Manage email marketing campaigns and maintain SharePoint communication channels

Graphic Design & Video Production (30-40%)

  • Design and produce engaging visual content including graphics, motion graphics, and video content for various internal and external communications

  • Create multimedia storytelling content that enhances employee engagement and communicates complex information effectively

  • Develop and maintain visual brand consistency across all communication platforms

  • Utilize advanced Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, and PowerPoint to create professional deliverables

  • Enhance deliverables through creative design to increase engagement and storytelling through visuals

Process Improvement & Collaboration

  • Drive communication process efficiencies and identify opportunities for enhancement

  • Stay current with communication technology trends and tools to optimize team effectiveness

  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders to support achieving highest customer satisfaction ratings

  • Share best practices with peer teams across JLL's global organization

  • Help manage and coordinate meetings and events for account team as needed

  • Maintain standard templates for communication tools used by the team

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field

  • 2-4 years of professional experience in communications, graphic design, or related field (comparable internships or other experience considered)

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro)

  • Advanced PowerPoint skills with design sensibility

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills

  • Experience with SharePoint and email marketing platforms

  • Demonstrated ability to create video and motion graphics content

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

  • Executive communications experience with ability to write and tailor content for specific audiences

Preferred:

  • Experience with Canva and other design platforms

  • Background in client-focused communications or employee engagement

  • Project management experience

  • Corporate real estate or professional services industry experience

Estimated compensation for this position:

66,650.00 - 73,100.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
