What this job involves: As a Senior Maintenance Mechanic, you'll be a key technical expert responsible for the hands-on operation, inspection, and maintenance of all HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned facilities. This role is essential to JLL's commitment to operational excellence, where you'll ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency while maximizing asset life and minimizing downtime. You'll work closely with the Chief Engineer and building teams to maintain safe, energy-efficient facilities that deliver exceptional tenant experiences while protecting and improving our clients' valuable real estate investments.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Oversee and execute preventative maintenance programs including scheduling tasks, performing maintenance work, and delegating responsibilities to team members with minimal disruption to building services
  • Perform building and utility plant maintenance across multiple disciplines including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, millwright, and machinist functions
  • Conduct daily building rounds, document equipment readings on logs, and monitor system performance to identify potential issues before they become problems
  • Order parts and equipment required for repairs, maintenance, and installation of new or legacy equipment while maintaining proper inventory levels
  • Monitor the quality of maintenance work performed by outside contractors and junior staff, ensuring all work meets JLL standards
  • Work closely with contractors by providing access to machinery rooms, electrical closets, and restricted areas as assigned by supervisors
  • Respond promptly and courteously to facility requests within JLL and client guidelines, maintaining positive facility relations through excellent customer service

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with strong background in machinery, plumbing, electrical systems, equipment repair and maintenance
  • Proficiency using computers and software programs including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and web browsers
  • Valid state driver's license and ability to maintain it throughout employment
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with effective communication skills for interacting with customers, contractors, and co-workers
  • Physical ability to climb ladders up to 40 feet, lift 50 pounds repeatedly, and perform equipment inspections in confined spaces
  • Ability to visually inspect machinery and buildings, detect emergency alarms (auditory and visual), and frequently walk stairs for inspections

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) experience
  • Electrical and/or mechanical trade licenses
  • Experience working with building automation systems and energy management platforms
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and building codes
  • Previous experience in commercial real estate or corporate facility management
  • Ability to operate electric hand tools, work on ladders, and operate motor vehicles as part of daily responsibilities
  • Experience with emergency response procedures and facility safety protocols

Estimated compensation for this position:

65,300.00 - 85,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
