Strategic Sourcing Category Manager

As the Strategic Sourcing Category Manager, you will support the daily process of strategies for assigned categories and focus on reducing organizational expenditure to improve savings and enhance relationships with partners and suppliers. You will manage the global services category for Engineering, Construction, Installation, Electrical, HVAC and other assigned categories across 200+ manufacturing, warehouse, and office locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and ensure purchasing requirements are met by meeting with and coordinating with company partners and other departments
  • Design and complete sourcing events for relevant category
  • Develop different award optimization scenarios to minimize total cost of ownership
  • Respond to supplier and partner questions (e.g., category, supply, event, price, or specification)
  • Build supplier financing programs maintaining a holistic view of early payment and accounts payables programs
  • Prepare current and potential Supplier Profile Summaries
  • Work with Sustainability team on agreed projects and ensure sustainability targets are reached and monitored
  • Review Business Requisitions, determine compliance with contract and approve/reject

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associates degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, CPG, or similar
  • 2 years' professional experience in procurement activities
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Vizio, Think Cell, Power BI)
  • Analysis into compelling oral/written communications and presentations
