The Johns Hopkins Hospital is proud to introduce our brand new Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU) - a 12-bed unit dedicated to providing comprehensive care for critically ill cardiac medical and surgical patients from birth through early adulthood. Our PCICU manages complex congenital heart disease, acquired heart disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias, utilizing advanced medical and surgical management, neonatal and pediatric ECMO, ventricular assist devices, and transplantation.

Position Details:

Role: Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU) Registered Nurse

Shifts: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts



Responsibilities:

Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care; serve as a role model and mentor for team members; support clinical decision-making in complex situations; assist with patient assignments and unit operations.



Qualifications:

BSN/MSN from an accredited nursing program preferred. Applicants with an Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited program may be considered if enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within one year of hire and completing the degree within five years.

Active Maryland or Compact RN license required.

BLS CPR certification (AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted).

Minimum of one year of RN experience (previous pediatric critical care experience preferred)

Ability to support evidence-based practices, independently make clinical decisions, and guide others in providing exceptional care.

**Must have authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship applicants will not be considered).

Salary Range: Minimum 36.31/hour - Maximum 56.28/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
