About the role:

The Vice President (VP) for Peer Content delivers actionable, insightful content from Gartner Peer Insights & Peer Community products to help our clients make informed decisions. This role sets market and topic prioritization, establishes content strategy and data management practices, creates content methodologies, builds content analytics delivery platforms, and analyzes content for impactful client insights and conclusions. This leader establishes strategic relationships across Gartner so that Peer content is fully leveraged to create unique client insights and enhance client retention.

The ideal candidate brings experience building and scaling content programs and analytics-driven products along with familiarity leveraging key capabilities and data assets across multiple business units, and a proven ability to drive execution across organizational boundaries. Strong leadership, collaboration and communication skills are essential to drive execution across organizational boundaries and deliver meaningful, peer-driven insights to our clients.

What you will do:

  • Define the vision and strategy for delivering exceptional peer-driven insights to help our clients make informed decisions
  • Set content direction and oversee delivery, prioritize resources, invest in data/technology infrastructure and establish world-class content methodologies
  • Lead the market operations team to prioritize client priorities and relevant markets, categories and topics served by Peer
  • Guide the content strategy and analytics team to make Peer information accessible and consumable for key stakeholders (Business and Technology Insights, Conferences and Service & Delivery)
  • Oversee the content production team responsible for the methodology, publication and reprint of Voice of the Customer, Peer Lessons Learned, One Minute Insights and Peer Perspectives
  • Collaborate with leaders across departments to understand requirements, prioritize objectives, communicate milestones and solicit feedback.
  • Work closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure peer-driven content provides insightful takeaways and conclusions via regular feedback, user research, focus groups and surveys
  • Identify challenges and implement solutions to address issues affecting client usage and value
  • Regularly present at senior leadership and Gartner Operating Committee meetings to articulate strategy and performance
  • Lead and manage diverse teams, providing mentorship and motivation to create a high-performance culture

What you will need:

  • 15+ years of combined experience in content creation and publication, technology consulting / advisory, product management and data management and analysis
  • Proven track record of developing and executing innovative, data-driven content strategies from inception, establishing new frameworks where none previously existed.
  • Successfully served as a key decision maker and subject matter expert, representing a business unit or function in strategic initiatives.
  • Effectively influenced senior leadership by delivering expert guidance and actionable recommendations that shaped organizational direction.
  • Advanced analytical skills: market prioritization, mining semi/unstructured data, synthesizing findings, and presenting insights.
  • Expertise in reporting against key performance indicators.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills; ability to work cross-functionally, evaluate benefits and tradeoffs, make recommendations, and encourage win-win compromise
  • Experience applying innovative strategies to solve complex challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to present complex information in a clear, actionable manner
  • A bias for action by maintaining accountability, clarifying responsibilities and exemplifying a no-limits mindset to get things done when faced with inertia and competing priorities
  • Bachelor's in Science, Engineering, Business, Communication, Marketing or tangential field; Advanced Degree, preferred

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 158,000 USD - 221,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
