We are seeking a Program Manager to join our federal team supporting our Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) projects, primarily in South Korea and Japan. As a Program Manager within Johnson Controls Federal Systems (JCFS), your goal is to support our international operations team and drive maximum sales and profitability. This is done through the development, deployment and support of enterprise level customer and operational initiatives.

As a Program Manager, you will:




  • Support the development and execution of enterprise-wide engineering standards, engineering processes, and implementation methods for specific accounts.
  • Design, develop and support solutions that streamline our building automation system approach for assigned accounts/projects.
  • Support the development of strategic initiatives and enterprise level improvements for assigned accounts
  • Develop and maintain high level relationships with the customer. Assist and advise customers in the development of standard designs, implementation goals and deployment strategies. Effectively communicate and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the customer and JCFS to align with defined strategies. Implement customer's standard design requirements and processes within JCFS.
  • Leverage available, or specify the development of, business analytics for internal and external customers performance KPIs, including project schedule compliance, customer satisfaction and cost performance. Provide periodic reviews to update leadership and key stakeholders on progress.
  • Facilitate the efficient transfer of design standards to JCFS sales, engineering, and field organizations. Focus on standardization to provide value of efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
  • Maintain expertise in a variety of building domains and JCFS processes and tools.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for building technology. Instill quality in all solutions delivered. Ensure contractual compliance of work performed.
  • Coordinate JCFS's product and technology roadmap, and operational execution, to the customers' technology vision. Align customers' requirements with JCFS's offerings.
  • Coordinate with customer stakeholders and communicate information related to critical activities, resources, and timelines.
  • Develop innovative methods for project delivery and process execution to meet customer expectations and needs
  • Support the development and maintenance of design documentation for all aspects of the enterprise deployment of standards, including hardware engineering design documentation, sequence of operations, and commissioning. Keep all documentation and data updated and available.
  • Work across multiple engineering / design teams and locations to ensure consistency and standard practices while optimizing engineering efficiency.
  • Provide high-level technical support to the field organization for the implementation of enterprise level initiatives and engineered solutions.
  • Become highly knowledgeable on customer's design and implementation strategies. Attend design and project meetings, ensuring that projects are delivered with a high degree of customer satisfaction, on time and within budget.
  • Provide leadership to train and direct multi-disciplined technical, subcontractors, and administrative personnel to resolve engineering, administrative and field issues occurring during project implementation and installation. Coach and mentor technical and project team members on effective project management practices and techniques. Foster a continuous improvement environment with quality tools, behaviors, and practices.
  • Coordinate with local project leadership to address project execution issues. Support field installation in the resolution of escalated program or project related issues.
  • Develop internal network of support across various levels of the organization to aide in issue resolution for the customer.



Required Qualifications:




  • 5+ years of direct experience in program management and/or program administration in the construction, building solutions or technologies industries.
  • Proven team leader capabilities and supervision experience in dealing with large integrated projects and programs
  • Superior documentation and organizational skills. Must be detail oriented. Must possess and demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Highly motivated and results oriented. Able to communicate clearly and lead by influence. Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed organization
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience working with international project sites
  • Experience working with healthcare construction projects.



Preferred Education:



  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university in engineering, science, Engineering, Construction, Project Management or Business Administration or other related fields
  • ASIS CCP, PMI, PMP, or other equivalent certifications desired
