Nature Of The Work

Safety Sensitive Position

Brief Description

The purpose of this position is to maintain and repair Brazos River Authority (BRA) Lift Station and Pump Station facilities, equipment, projects, and grounds. This is accomplished by inspecting equipment, documenting findings, performing preventative and corrective maintenance; maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding pumps, motors, blowers, and plumbing; monitoring and documenting functions; repairing malfunctions or breakdowns on the facility equipment; and performing general and preventative maintenance on BRA buildings and grounds. Other responsibilities include maintaining, repairing, servicing, installing, and operating mechanical equipment; fabricating equipment; inspecting alarms and lights, documenting findings; performing grounds maintenance at facilities; ordering supplies; assisting with general administrative functions; and performing any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements



  • Minimum four years' experience or equivalent education
  • Valid Texas Class C Driver's License and Good Driving Record
  • Approved Hazmat training is required within six months of hire
  • Must be able to obtain a Class D Wastewater License for wastewater treatment plants within six months of hire
  • Preferred: Class C Wastewater License for wastewater treatment plants or Collection License

STARTING SALARY RANGE

$26.43 to $33.70 per hour. This is a non-exempt position.
