Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Logistics Analyst

LOCATION: Huntsville, AL

JOB STATUS: Full-time

CLEARANCE: Secret

TRAVEL: 20%

Astrion is seeking a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Logistics Analyst to serve as a logistics management specialist responsible for interpreting, planning, evaluating, and coordinating the effective implementation of the logistics programs. The position will support development of integrated logistics requirements for potential new FMS cases in development and Requests for Information (RFIs) from interested countries. The role will support development and execution of Integrated Supportability Working Groups, Training Working Groups, Spares Analysis, Long Term Sustainment Studies, Site Surveys and other logistics related activities for new FMS cases. The position will also assist with required documentation/activities to support Poland's integration of new equipment into the WISLA and NAREW Integrated Air and Missile System in support of multiple Poland FMS cases as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Must have an active and transferable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance
  • International experience highly desired, with a preference to interact with foreign
  • Master's degree with 10 + years or bachelor's degree with 18 years' experience
  • 10 years in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or 10-18 years of related experience
  • Travel to off-site and international locations up to 20%.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to work as part of an integrated team
  • Must have strong communication skills and possess technical writing skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications is required

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing security assistance program logistics and ensuring they are within established policies, procedures, country or regional funding and in compliance with regulation.
  • Maintain liaison with foreign governments and the Security Assistance Enterprise (SAE) to include Defense Security Cooperation Agency, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Defense Exports and Cooperation, United States Army Security Assistance Command, Security Assistance Management Division, Department of the Army Major Commands, Subordinate Commands, and command level staff and activity managers involved in the Assistance Program.
  • Apply analytical and evaluative methods/techniques concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of the Integrated Fires FMS Case program operations and provide recommendations that enhance overall program.
  • Prepare and maintain country specific security assistance management files, which include current case logistical data and program information, appropriate political-military information and country specific Congressional/State department reporting data.
  • Prepare briefing books, trip books, read-ahead, issue papers, action and information memorandum and other documents for senior U.S. and foreign government personnel and commercial representatives relative to the life cycle support and total package approach used in cases.
  • Identify and analyze problems; uses sound reasoning to arrive at conclusions; finds alternative solutions to complex problems; distinguishes between relevant and irrelevant information to make logical judgement.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and support senior briefer for FMS Logistical support for Integrated Fires Directorate case efforts.
  • Travel to off-site and international locations up to 20%.
