The Sales Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the CSI Sales team by optimizing sales processes, ensuring the accuracy of quotes and agreements, and facilitating the smooth execution of sales activities. This role collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Marketing, Finance, and other departments to drive operational excellence and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Process Optimization: Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to sales processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Sales Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support, including order processing, contract management, and responding to customer inquiries.

  • Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.

  • Quote and Agreement Review: Review sales quotes and agreements for accuracy, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained in accordance with company policies.

  • Salesforce Management: Maintain and update Salesforce records, ensuring contractual and financial data is accurate and complete throughout the sales cycle.

  • Business Review and Approval: Facilitate business reviews and approval processes for redlined agreements, prepare executive summaries, and coordinate counter-signature activities.

  • Onboarding and Implementation: Submit finalized agreements for onboarding and implementation, ensuring a seamless transition for new clients.

  • Legal Liaison: Create and manage legal cases in Salesforce, ensuring all required information is provided and acting as a liaison between Legal and Sales.

  • Client Interaction: Attend client calls to document redline discussions and support contract negotiations.

  • Reporting: Monitor daily reports to ensure data integrity and compliance with internal standards.

  • Documentation: Manage all documentation throughout the sales process, including case generation, renewals, add-ons, and interface requests.

  • Tool Management: Create, maintain, and train on quote tools and sales processes; write and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and standardization across business units.

  • Commercialization Support: Participate in commercialization activities to ensure pricing, configuration, and contract accuracy; train Sales Operations and Sales Executives on new processes.

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Critical Skills

  • Prior experience with Salesforce and DocuSign required.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Subject Matter Expertise in pricing, quoting, and contracting processes.

  • Experience managing P&L parameters and approvals via Contract Negotiations Boundary Matrix (CNBM).

  • In-depth understanding of CSI BU department roles and responsibilities.

  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).

  • Experience in training and supporting sales teams on tools and processes.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$73,400 - $122,300
