Job Summary

The Dorman Supply Chain Team is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers hands-on experience in procurement and supply chain operations, providing exposure to real-world business processes and supplier interactions.

Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid internship based at our corporate office in Colmar, PA (suburban Philadelphia). Interns will work on-site 3-4 days per week, with the option to work remotely 1-2 days per week.


Primary Duties

  • Support the procurement process by assisting with the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services
  • Maintain and update procurement systems, records, and documentation
  • Help prepare and analyze procurement reports, metrics, and data insights
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving procurement processes
  • Assist in managing supplier relationships and help resolve any issues that may arise

Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements:



  • Completion of coursework in Business, Finance, or Accounting(preferred)
  • Genuine interest inSupply Chain Management
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Strongwritten and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency inMicrosoft Office Suite(Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptionalattention to detailandanalytical thinking
  • Willingness to take direction from project leads and proactively seek clarification when needed
  • Demonstrates a high level ofintegrity and professionalism


Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to lift up to20 poundsas needed


Working Conditions:



  • Regularly required toreach, swivel, carry items between buildings, and engage in active listening and communication
  • Moderate noise levelin the work environment

Education / Experience

  • Currently pursuing aBachelor's or Graduate degreefrom an accredited college or university
  • Major inSupply Chain, Business Administration, Information Systems Management, Data & Analytics, or a related field
  • Completion of at leasttwo years of college courseworkprior to the internship is preferred
  • MinimumGPA of 3.0
  • Priorinternship experience, relevant work history, or involvement inprofessional clubs/organizationsis a plu

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $22.00 to $24.00.The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.

As a Dorman US contributor, you (and eligible dependents, as applicable) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid time off (sick/vacation), and Paid Parental Leave. U.S. employees are entitled to paid holidays, floating holidays, and paid time off starting in their first year of employment depending on hire date.
