The salary range for this position is $181,400- $247,800. Candidate will be reviewed every 2 years after initial appt Application Window Open date: October 10, 2025 Next review date: Wednesday, Oct 22, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Thursday, Apr 30, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Department of Neurosurgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA currently seeks applicants for a physiatrist faculty position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level (HS Clinical series) with focus and expertise on cranial and spinal neurological disorders. The physiatrist will work with an interdisciplinary team including neurosurgeons, advanced practice providers (APP), and physical and occupational therapists. The physiatrist will hold clinics at one or more UCLA Health clinic locations and see inpatient and outpatient consults. Clinics will also include performing and interpreting electrodiagnostic studies and evidence-based interventions. The physiatrist should be familiar with examining and supporting the needs of acute and chronic neurologic diseases. This entails initial and follow-up assessments of motor function and functional needs including the evaluation and management of pain, management of baclofen pumps, neuromuscular injections, assessment of orthotics, and the management of medications. Furthermore, clinical and research expertise in the rehabilitation treatment of motor, sensory, and functional perturbations associated central and peripheral nervous system injury conditions are sought.
