Job Summary

The Repair Analyst assists Supply Chain Management (SCM) system users by promptly responding to internal and external customer inquiries and requests. This role is responsible for the end-to-end repair process of aircraft parts used on Southwest aircraftfrom building a work scope, issuing a Repair Order, troubleshooting receiving issues, and getting orders closed and invoiced correctly. The Repair Analyst is a detail-oriented thinker who looks forward to driving the future of SCM at Southwest.

Responsibilities
  • Assist SCM system users by responding to Internal/External Customer inquiries and requests
  • Proficiently utilize technical documents, component maintenance manuals and aircraft manuals
  • Evaluate quotes for quality, accuracy, and adherence to contractual terms to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Mentor, develop, direct, and collaborate with Assc Repair Analyst as well as independently to strengthen the bench of the Team
  • Monitor and track cost-saving initiatives, aircraft damage incidents, and engineering requests to ensure comprehensive oversight and effectivity
  • Ensuring compliance with Component Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives, including preparation internally and with the suppliers
  • Review exchange proposals, potentially including Times and Cycles, to proactively address and mitigate inventory issues
  • Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and manage supplier performance
  • Effectively handle changes in pricing, shipment dates, and part specifications while maintaining clear communication and coordination
  • Oversee relationships with maintenance providers on a day-to-day basis and manage the repair process for assigned and backup commodities
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to serial numbers, part numbers, technical requirements, invoicing, and shipping errors by thorough research and analysis
  • Collaborate with other Departments and work groups to understand requirements and gain efficiencies
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing Customer and personal services including Customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of Customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effectiveness of quote approvals and alternate development of repairs
  • Skilled in understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
  • Skilled in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Skilled in accessing, understanding and applying contract language from enterprise contracts repository
  • Ability to read technical documents, follow instructions, and understand compliance procedures
  • Skilled in leading cross-functional teams; builds consensus and successfully demonstrates ability to coach team members and help develop skills to meet organizational goals

Education
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
  • Intermediate level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in:
    • Aviation supply chain management lifecycle
    • EDI interfacing, process improvement
    • Contract compliance
    • Engineering processes
    • System navigation with various IT systems (e.g. SAP ERP/VIM, Ariba, Boeing Toolbox, Maintenix, Aeroxchange, QuickBase, Alteryx, Tableau)
Licensing/Certification
  • Required: SIDA badge and meet all local airport requirements
Physical Abilities
  • Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office areafor extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information

Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive market salary from $74,950 per year to $83,300 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
