Arrow Sanitary Service, a Waste Connections company, is looking for an ambitious PM Technician to work on our fleet of diesel waste trucks in Portland, Oregon.

Schedule:

Monday - Thursday 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Friday 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Wage:

$26.00 - $32.00/hour DOE

Safety Sensitive: Yes

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete required paperwork utilizing the fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documents parts usage, and accounts for repair times.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and understand service schedules and/or repairs.

  • General shop maintenance/cleaning duties as needed.

  • Performs routine equipment safety checks.

  • Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.

  • Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.

  • Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.

  • Work environment may be indoors in a shop, or outdoors to repair trucks on the road. Usually well-lighted and ventilated. Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools. These factors require following basic safety precautions.

  • Must be comfortable using computers and diagnostic software for troubleshooting and maintenance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above REQUIRED.
  • Valid Drivers License with eligible motor vehicle report REQUIRED.
  • Class A or B CDL with air brakes endorsement preferred or ability to obtain in the future required.
  • Personal Tools REQUIRED.
  • Welding/fabrication experience preferred.
  • Must bring a strong work ethic, a positive mindset, and a willingness to learn and grow in this role.
  • Position requires eligible motor vehicle report, eligible criminal background check and clean drug panel screening.
