We are excited to add a Sales Development Specialist II to our sales team! The position will pay between $46,000 - $57,000 plus commissions based on previous relevant experience, educational credentials, and location.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Support US Surgical Team by collaboration with half the national field team supporting the group with primary focus on the new field representatives and working to identify qualified sales leads by following up on inbound opportunities from various marketing programs, outbound marketing campaigns or targeted campaigns and accounts specific to surgical side of the business and business development/agency opportunities. Nurture prospects over time, discover needs, offer relevant resources, learn where they are in the buying process and secure appointments that move the sale forward. Work to develop Key Opinion Leader opportunities (KPI's) and Collaborate with Mimedx field personnel to help target competitive, new agency and business development accounts for future growth. Utilize targeted and insightful questions to speak knowledgeably with decision makers, provide content and product/service information, and work with prospects to explain how product and/or service can create partnerships for future growth. Document outbound/inbound activity and maintain client accounts in customer relationship management (CRM) systems and other marketing databases. Work closely with marketing and sales teams. Position will qualify for Incentive Comp program tied to new surgical territory performance and national team performance on a quarterly basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Grow surgical opportunities within hospital space; Collaborate with Surgical team around leads and partner with field group to create new business
  • Focus on new territories and new members to help onboard
  • Identify business development/Agency growth for company; collaborate with SDS leader and Surgical Leadership Team to review potential partnerships
  • Work with academic centers to assess residency programs and opportunities and KPI development
  • Own territory responsibilities as a business owner and make trade-off decisions around working to grow the right leads and opportunities
  • Field rides as needed to nurture relationships and grow business
  • Make strategic decisions with agility to maximize time to create the right results and new account growth
  • Collaborate with the field to identify targeted account opportunities. Make daily outbound calls to qualify leads received from various industry conferences and targeted sales campaigns
  • Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with prospective customers
  • Assist in identifying new market opportunities, implementing marketing strategies and developing sales plans to effectively penetrate physician practices, hospitals, wound care clinics, medical centers, surgical centers and related entities within assigned territory
  • Introduce appropriate company products/services to prospective customers and generate opportunities for members of the sales team; set appointments for sales team
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's brands, systems, and processes as it relates to placing orders
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and professional/skill development sessions
  • Development toward future opportunities


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:



  • Approximate 1 year as Sales Development Specialist
  • Consistent top performance vs peers
  • Having mentored several team members
  • Leadership within team
  • Experience with business development
  • Competencies in all assets of business from private office to hospital related knowledge
  • Experience with Salesforce.com


SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:



  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a focus on high level of customer service, relationship building, and confidentiality
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively, which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details; respond with a sense of urgency to all inquiries and requests
  • Ability to influence others to achieve desired results using tenacity and diplomacy
  • Ability to aggressively utilize all available resources to identify new sales leads
  • High level of initiative, creative thinking, decision making and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to influence and gain cooperation of others


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work is typically performed in a normal office environment. Role routinely uses standard office equipment. Will be assigned a pre-defined work shift based on current business needs.
