The Instrumentation & Electronics Technician is responsible to repair and calibrate instrumentation and test equipment used in various test cells and laboratories at the Chrysler Technical Center. The Instrumentation & Electronics Instrumentation Technician will diagnose problems associated with various industrial control systems and instruments used for process control and data collection. Examples of equipment includes high voltage systems, dynamometers, motor drives, instruments (torque, pressure, flow, and temperature), and general-purpose test and measurement equipment, etc. Further duties of the Instrumentation Instrumentation & Electronics Technician will require working with engineers to maximize the available runtime of test cells. This includes the recommendation of modifications and root cause analysis. In addition to supporting test cells, the instrumentation technician will support our Metrology laboratory calibrating portable devices used throughout the engineering community.
