Job Description

Position Summary:

Position can start any time between January and June 2026

The Quality Co-Op will support inspection and quality assurance activities on the production floor. This role is ideal for students pursuing a degree in a technical field who have hands-on experience or coursework related to machining, manufacturing processes, and precision measurement. The position involves approximately 70% time on the production floor performing inspections and 30% time in an office environment documenting results and supporting quality initiatives.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, comparators, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Verify parts against blueprints, specifications, and router instructions.
  • Assist with calibration tracking of gauges, fixtures, and tooling.
  • Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
  • Support quality engineers with nonconformance reports and corrective actions.
  • Help develop and update standard work instructions to improve quality and reduce scrap.
  • Foster a "Safety 24/7" culture and follow all safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or similar).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators).
  • Basic understanding of machining processes and tolerances.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel).

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $25.00 to $27.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 0 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
