Stationary Engineer - JLL What this job involves: This position involves operating and maintaining critical building systems including medium-pressure steam boilers, hot water systems, centrifugal chillers and control air compressors. What your day-to-day will look like: Environmental, Safety and Health Compliance Comprehensive understanding and strict adherence to all Environmental, Safety and Health programs and procedures ensures workplace safety while maintaining regulatory compliance across all operational activities and facility management responsibilities. High-Pressure Steam and Hot Water Systems Management Operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of high-pressure steam and hot water boilers requires meticulous attention to manufacturer recommendations and applicable permits while ensuring full regulatory compliance through systematic monitoring and preventive maintenance protocols. Chiller Plant and Cooling System Operations Management of site centrifugal chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and related functional equipment demands expertise in troubleshooting and maintenance practices that guarantee reliability, efficiency, and adherence to manufacturer specifications for optimal system performance. Water Quality Management and Chemical Treatment Monitoring of water testing, treatment protocols, and associated chemical usage for boilers and chilled water systems ensures strict compliance with site water safety management plans while maintaining optimal water quality standards throughout the facility infrastructure. Building Automation and Control Systems Oversight Continuous monitoring of building automation systems enables proper operation of boiler and chiller plants alongside air handling equipment, requiring technical proficiency in digital control systems and the ability to respond to operational anomalies promptly and effectively. Documentation and Regulatory Compliance Accurate documentation and recording of all operational activities, fuel storage system monitoring, usage log maintenance, and utility reporting ensures compliance with applicable permits and regulations while providing comprehensive operational records for regulatory agencies and management review. Physical Demands and Environmental Adaptability Position requires physical capability to lift equipment and materials up to fifty pounds, work in various positions including ladders and catwalks with hands above or below head level, perform duties while stooping, bending, kneeling, standing, or sitting, and operate outdoors in inclement weather conditions while maintaining auditory and visual awareness of equipment alarms and operational changes. Required Qualifications: Strong understanding of mechanical systems Electrical troubleshooting skillset Ability to work swing-shift schedule Four (4) year experience as a medium-high pressure steam boilers, including boiler troubleshooting techniques. Preferred Qualifications: High School graduate or equivalent EPA Universal Certification Location: Onsite- Nashville, Tennessee Work Shift: 1st shift - 6:30am - 2:30pm (subject to change due to swing shift) 7-day rotation including weekends/holidays + on-call Other shifts: 2nd shift - 2:30pm - 10:30pm 3rd shift - 10:30pm - 6:30am Salary/ Comp: $30.00 - $35.00 USD Hourly Shift Differential - Swing Shift = $2.00 / Night Shift = $3.00 Location: On-site -Nashville, TN Job Tags: If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet all the requirements.
