What We Need: The Executive Assistant, Finance & Accounting proactively anticipates needs, manages complex schedules, handles sensitive information with discretion, and serves as a liaison between the Chief Financial Officer and internal/external stakeholders.The position also serves as a utility support player within the Finance & Accounting function, contributing to the coordination and success of various functional projects and processes. What You Will Do:
- Responsible for providing executive administrative support to theChief Financial Officer, including calendar management, travel and expense management, and project management.Additionally, this position may provide executive administrative support to additional leader(s) as business needs require and capacity allows.
- Handles confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Prepares meeting agendas, briefings, presentations, reports, and correspondence as needed.
- Coordinates logistics for internal and external meetings, including virtual and in-person events.
- Manages documents within the Diligent system for presentation to the Board of Directors.
- Processes news releases and certain corporate website updates.
- Tracks key initiatives and deliverables and follows up as needed to ensure deadlines are met.
- Provides resourceful, courteous, and proactive communication on behalf of the assigned executive team.
- Fosters a collaborative, well organized, and productive environment in the CFO's office.
- Participates in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.
- This position requires full-time on-site presence at HNI Corporation Headquarters in Muscatine, IA.
What You Have:
- 5+ years of administrative support or project management experience required

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
- Experience with Diligent Board Books a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated understanding of organizational mission and commitment to acting accordingly.
- Ability to proactively anticipate and meet assigned leader and departmental needs, with a high degree of initiative and autonomy.
- Effectively organizes and manages workload and demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks based on company and executive leadership deadlines.
